Drive your favorite Hot Wheels in 'Forza Horizon 3'

Growing up, you probably fantasized about what it would be like to drive the ridiculously over-the-top Twin Mill Hot Wheels car along an orange plastic track and through a loop. Well, you still can’t, but you can get closer with “Forza Horizon 3.” The upcoming video game expansion introduces the legendary orange plastic track and some of the most popular Hot Wheels from recent years.

It’s cool to see Hot Wheels and “Forza” bring an even mix of new and vintage toy cars to the digital realm. These cars look accurate, with Twin Mill’s two 502-cubic-inch Chevy engines churning out over 1,400 hp in the game, but it doesn’t look like the cars will have the ubiquitous plastic tires.

You can find the Hot Wheels-themed plastic roads off Australia’s in-game coast. The plastic tracks will connect six themed islands. There will be jumps, rings of fire, dinosaurs and all the corkscrews you can imagine. Going further, the Stunt Swap feature will let you modify sections of track.

There will be a behind-the-scenes live stream on May 8, a day ahead of the expansion’s launch. If you don’t have the “Forza Horizon 3” expansion pass, this package will set you back $19.99.
