The Porsche 918 proves back windows aren't everything
Reddit user Supercars Official posted an incredible shot of the Porsche 918’s engine cover, exhaust and tiny back window. Along with jokes about the car being the
next-gen last-gen Nissan Sentra, posters talked the Porsche’s tiny rear window. The window is just small enough to let the rear-view mirror see the world behind you, which is basically just exhaust and wings.
As we saw with our last dive into the Porsche 918, the 4.6-liter V8 shoots its exhaust right behind the passengers. Could Porsche have figured out a different way to route the exhaust, to preserve the rear window space? Probably, but it wouldn’t be nearly as cool.
